    2 months in...

Posted by Edward Kipp on 24th Jul 2017

ok... I've had my bike for 2 months, and I still love my bike. I decided to do some engine mods and I went by the sticker on the motor for ordering parts. all the aftermarket big bore kits go by the bore, stroke, cylinder length, and piston pin. the number on the motor was LC1p52fmi which designates that it's a 52.4mm bore, and for a 124cc as is cast in the cylinder it should be a 57mm stroke. imagine my surprise when I tried to put my new parts on and found out it's a 54mm x 54mm bore and stroke! and it has a 14mm pin instead of 13mm. before you order parts like I did, disassemble the top end and measure everything so you KNOW what motor you have and can order the right parts.

    Very good Grom replacement

Posted by Lyle on 12th Jul 2017

Was hesitant on this purchase at first. Id heard good things about these bikes but you just never know until you get one. I can tell you first hand, this is an awesome bike for the money. I considered a Grom but for the money I had to try this bike instead and glad i did. Does everything you could expect from a small stret mini. Mirrors were a little tricky to figure out but i called Orion and they walked me thru it. I wouldn't recommend this bike for major Highway use but its perfect for in town and backroads. I am very pleased.

great bike for buzzing around town or city

I ordered my bike in black. IT'S a really nice sparkly black, matches my buddy's 2009 black challenger perfectly... iv owned several chinese 4 wheelers and pit bikes, and the build quality is very good comparatively, second only to the honda in my opinion. MAX speed was 49mph as stated, and I weigh 235lbs. I changed the front sprocket to a 17 tooth, and now it will go 54, but the rims are much lower and acceleration is a little slower but it is good. Before the swap first gear was too low and I had to shift almost immediately, now I hit about 18 mph before I shift to 2nd. Bike feels like a bigger bike due to the extended swingarm. I like that too, especially at top speed it's not too twitchy. I changed out the factory oil before starting because I don't trust the cheap oil they put in at the factory, I only use royal purple oil, and have never had any engine failures in 10 years of hard riding.
I also disassembled most of the chassis to put permatex never seize on all the bolts and loctite on the nuts, so in 10 years from now when I go to pull out the axle bolts to change the tires they will actually come apart, (ask me how I know to do this).
Overall I am very happy with my bike, and glad I bought it. If I could I would buy a whole shipping container of them and sell them to all my friends. EVERYONE who rides it loves it, there are lots of aftermarket parts available and forums and videos on how to fix and mod them, and they are fun and easy to ride and work on... if you are thinking about getting one and you like to tinker, don't hesitate, buy one now. IF you can't turn a wrench once in a while, or learn to do your own maintenence and repairs, then go buy a honda and pay the dealer to work on it. Enough said.
