My first was the Taotao DBX-1 the bike was good and it cost $900 but I wanted something I could ride in the street so I eventually bought a 2020 RXB150XL in the summer of 2020. As soon as I got the bike I could tell right away that it was built better than the Taotao. The Orion had more weight but it was definitely more solid and I felt more confident on the bike when I got the Taotao from factory the rear wheel came with a wiggle which was not safe.
I wish I had the 2021 version though the upgrades are awesome I always wanted the 16" inch rear wheel and a 19" up front that will make a huge difference in the trails and top speed.
I do wish Orion offered different size sprockets. Mine came with a 41tooth and I feel like that gives the bike to much torque it makes it harder to learn wheelies because on first and second gear the throttle becomes super sensitive. I bought a 35tooth rear sprocket and I am having a blast now with my bike I have so much more control of the bike and I am able to keep up with traffic without having to rev my engine out which leads to a longer engine life.
Another reason why I bought the 150 over the 250 was because of the simple bolt on power you can buy. There is a big bore kit and a race head that transforms the little bikes into race machines and I honestly haven't seen much out there for the 250.
If I were to do it again I may want the 250 but to be honest I never rode a 250 so I could not say for sure. With that being said the 150 comes with a NIBBI carb now which for me was a necessity for these bikes and also the better looking Husky headlight it's like Orion read my mind. This deal is getting sweeter and sweeter for the RXB150xl I must say.
Last thoughts besides engine power the best modification on these bikes is to change the rear sprocket if you really want to enjoy this bike go with a 37 tooth and your gears will last longer. The front sprockets help but not as much as the rear.
Ordered blue. Came orange with blue stickers seperate wick is no big deal at all. Fully assembled, un damaged, mco attached, put in gas and rode around. Adjusted valves. Run great. Def would not hesitate to recommend to anybody wanting a street legal pitbike.
It was great till I got to where are the foot pegs? . The bike is very nice, powerful for the price. I love it! Keep up the good work.
I ordered the red, got orange.
I hope the moo,MSO comes
This bike far exceeded my expectations. I was very hesitant to purchase due to all the mixed feedback about the non-big four manufacturers. Look, as long as your expectations are realistic you will not be disappointed. If your goal is anything like mine, two boys 15 and 13yrs who have never ridden before and supercross is off the table then these bike are awesome!! I took a chance and bought three, one for each of my sons and one for me to ride with them and teach them what I know. A blast so far. I chose to assemble myself, for peace of mind. Found a cotter pin missing on one of the rear brakes, all three chains needed adjustment, needed grease on fork tubes, swing arms and both wheel axles. Plug not inserted fully for neutral indicator (under seat) and one carb top loose. Low air all
tires and one loose bolt on right crankcase cover. At the end of the day, if I could give a higher rating I would. Great dirt bikes, again not supercross bikes, dirt bikes. High five to Orion, arrived fast, easy ordering, what more could I reasonably ask for. Can’t go wrong at this price, hopes this review helps someone. Happy riding!
Everything went together super well and rides super good but while going over all the bolts and stuff I noticed the subframe mount was stripped
I was skeptical about purchasing the Orion RXB150XL, I had a few other bikes in mind but typically ride KTM & Ducati, this would be my first Chinese bike ever so my expectations were low but I wanted to get the best possible bike in this category.
I joined the Facebook Orion bike group so I could chat with people that currently own the bike and also see what people were modifying and having problems with, I figured this would be the best place to get unbiased reviews. After 2 months of being an active group member it became clear that everyone that owned this bike was very happy, from beginners to advanced riders it was enjoyed by all, the only complaints seemed to be from a few about shipping which has nothing to do with the quality of the bike, and a few complaints about setup which I planned on inspecting the bike prior to riding anyways so that didn't bother me one bit.
After ordering the bike it soon was at my door, I did a full inspection, break in, and the only issue I had was the carb tuning which was to be expected since elevation plays a factor so it would be impossible for the carb to be tuned for every location. I tuned the carb which was a fun learning experience that I received tons of help from the Facebook group.
I have 27 years riding experience, and have ridden a wide variety of bikes, my latest bikes range from a Honda Grom, KTM 640 Supermoto, KTM Duke 2 LC4, & a Ducati 750 SS and I'll say that this bike is just as fun if not funner than a few of those!
It outperforms the Honda Grom every way imaginable, it's faster, quicker, better suspension and at half the price!
I was able to do some basic mods for extremely cheap such as new front sprockets to replace the factory 16t, I went with a 17t & 18t to increase the overall top speed which is currently 75mph confirmed with GPS! I also changed out the CDI for a performance model that was an easy upgrade, I bought a jet kit for the carb and a cnc air screw which made air/fuel adjustment possible without removing the carb, I installed handguards which were extremely cheap on Amazon, and a new LED headlight to put less strain on the electrical system and give brighter light output and better visibility at night. All of those basic upgrades were less than $100 and were well worth it. I did eventually install a Nibbi performance carb because other RXB150XL owners highly recommended it because of the power increase and ease of adjustability, the whole carb, adapter, filter were $100 and let's just say that even with the 18t front sprocket my bike is now quicker than it was w/ the 16t sprocket and I can lift the front wheel and ride wheelies with ease in 2nd gear and my top speed is about 20mph faster than the bike was stock.
Whether this is your first bike, or 20th bike you will smile every time you ride it, you can ride to your local store or hit some trails, on or offroad this bike is just tons of fun.
The price is incredible, the value is amazing, there's no reason to even hesitate just get one!
Overall you can’t beat the value. It’s important that you read the tech section of the website and follow the break in process. My valves were extremely tight from the factory Causing it to not idle and needed adjusting. Make sure to pull out both axle bolts and swing arm bolt to lube them. It’s a bit lean from the factory. I rejeted with 1 size larger Mikuni main jet at 3000ft elevation. Seat is firm for longer rides, suspension is perfect for me 175lbs. Tech support was incredible. Easily text them with concerns and they responded quickly. Very satisfied. 2 oil changes done 70miles on the bike mostly street.
Ridiculous value $$$ 50 years of dirt bike experience and racing, this bike needs no apologies. Friends want one too. Perfect for beginner's which is what I got it for.
Those without some basic mechanical aptitude be aware these do require some TLC initially and plenty of info on FB groups to help. More fun than a barrel full of monkey's! Full size rider's no problem.
These are a lot of fun! Runs great straight off the pallet! No assembly besides screwing on mirrors. Gas it up and go!
